By purchasing a kitten(s) from Scottish Kingdom Cattery, the Buyer agrees that said kitten(s) will never be declawed under any circumstances and conditions. Cats have claws which are an essential to feline’s lifestyle and character. When a kitten is declawed, the first joint of each toe is amputated. The pain from this procedure is present for months, and sometimes years. Cats are intelligent creatures, and there are educational alternatives, such as teaching them to use scratching posts, that can be learned. Firmly setting boundaries and rules, as well as redirecting undesirable behavior will train the cat to behave. Scottish Kingdom Cattery firmly believes declawing to be cruel, inhumane, and incapacitating for the cat. Such trauma will negatively impact your kitten’s disposition and personality.
